University of Cape Town awards Master of Public Health scholarships for candidates from low- and middle-income African Commonwealth countries. Scholarships are awarded to undertake Master of Public Health (Community Eye Health) program. Scholarships will cover course fees, travel costs, and accommodation costs. The closing date for non-South African applicants is 31 July. The closing date for South African applicants is 30 September.
Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship ProgramNorman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship Program is offered to students by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Borlaug fellows are generally scientists, researchers or policymakers who are in the early or middle stages of their careers. Each fellow works one-on-one with a mentor at a U.S. university, research center or government agency, usually for 6-12 weeks. The deadline for application is September 30th, 2015.
ICO-Retina Research Foundation Helmerich FellowshipsThe International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) is offering two fellowships for developing countries. These one year fellowships are awarded for training in any ophthalmology subspecialty at a host training center. The fellowships worth of US$25,000 are offered to cover round trip travel, living expenses and professional expenses. The fellowship may be commencing anytime within 15 months after award notification. The deadline for applications is September 30 of each year.
African Graduate Fellowship at American University in CairoAmerican University in Cairo is offering graduate fellowship for Non-Egyptian African nationals. Fellowship is available for pursuing graduate (master) degree level at The American University in Cairo, Egypt. Applicants must have bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum overall rating of very good, an overall grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. Newcastle University Nigeria ScholarshipsNewcastle University is inviting applications for three Nigeria scholarships  for 2015-16 academic year. These are available for high achieving Nigerian students applying for entry onto postgraduate Master’s degree programmes, commencing in September 2015.  Each scholarship will have a value of £5,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees. Gradlink Africa Scholarship for Nigerian Students
The Gradlink with UWE Bristol University is offering seven Africa scholarships for Ghanaian, Kenyan and Nigerian students. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working with the Gradlink development team. This scholarship is for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree. Scholarships will be offered for the period of one academic year. Applicants can apply till 14 June 2015.
Business School Dean’s Scholarships for Masters Students in UK, 2015

Development Scholarships for Nigerian Students
The Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University through the support of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport offers seven development scholarships for developing countries. Applications for these scholarships are open to all students from developing countries and/or countries going through a process of political and economic transition, who are applying for study in one of Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences from academic year 2015/2016. Research Awards for SABMiller Royal Society Exchange ProgrammeThe Royal Society invites applications for exchange programme from sub-Saharan African and UK based scientists. Collaborations should be based on a single project between “the applicant” (UK based scientist) and “co-applicant” (African based scientist). The programme will focus on, but not be restricted to Ghana and Tanzania. The award lasts for 3 years. The total value of the award over 3 years is £21,000. The application deadline is 30 April 2015.
UNU-ISP PhD Scholarships in Sustainability Science, JapanApplications are invited for full PhD scholarships in the area of sustainability science at United Nations University. A limited number of PhD scholarships (covering tuition fees and living costs) for a maximum of 36 months are available for outstanding applicants. Application deadline is April 30, 2015.
Loughborough University Graduate Scholarships
Loughborough University is offering full-fee Africa scholarships for full-time taught postgraduate degree program. The scholarships will cover 100% of the course fees for applicants chosen postgraduate taught course for one year. The application deadline is 30th April 2015.
Developing Solutions Masters Scholarships
University of Nottingham is inviting applications for developing solutions masters scholarships available for the students of Africa, India or one of the listed countries of the Commonwealth. Applicants must already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes at Nottingham for September 2015. Up to 105 scholarships are awarded. Up to 30 scholarships will cover 100% tuition fee and up to 75 scholarships will cover 50% towards tuition fees. The application deadline is 24 April 2015.
Eni Scholarship for Nigerian Students
St Antony’s College Oxford in partnership with the international integrated energy company Eni is offering three students from Nigeria and other African universities the opportunity of fully funded scholarships. Scholarships will be including fees and living expenses, to undertake postgraduate study at the Master’s level at the University of Oxford. The application deadline is 10 April 2015.
Abraaj RCA Innovation Scholarship for Nigerian Students
Applications are invited for Abraaj RCA Scholarship for pursuing masters degree programme. Every year, for a period of five years, a cohort of five outstanding scholars will be selected for the scholarship. Scholarship will cover full international tuition fees to study at a Master’s level for two years at the Royal College of Art in London. A significant contribution towards living costs will also be provided. The application deadline is 10 April, 2015.
Netherlands Fellowship Programmes for Nigerian students
Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation is offering Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) for developing country applicants. The fellowship is available for master’s, PhD and short courses. Students must be a national of and working and living in one of the countries in the NFP country list valid at the time of application. If for whatever reason a candidate stays in another country other than his or her home country for more than 90 days before the start of the course and/ or programme, he or she is not considered to be living and working in his or her home country.
Global Challenges Fellowship Program (GCFP) in GermanyThe Volkswagen Foundation is supporting Global Challenges Fellowship to conduct research for journal articles and/or policy papers and participate in a series of small working group discussions and seminars. Beginning in September 2015, Global Challenges Fellows will spend approximately 7-8 months doing analytical, policy, and empirical work at SPP/CEU IAS in Budapest and at GPPi in Berlin where they will engage with policy practitioners. Researchers from nine countries (Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, and Turkey) are eligible to apply. The application deadline is March 30, 2015.
Cultures of Resistance Scholarships for Developing Countries
Applications are invited for SOAS Scholarships to pursue full time masters program in 2015/16 academic year. The scholarships will benefit people from countries that have been affected by wars and extreme poverty. Each scholarship is valued at £15,000 in total. In addition, each scholar will benefit from a 20% reduction in their tuition fees, from free accommodation at International Student House (ISH) and food vouchers to be spent in the ISH restaurant. King’s Nigerian Law Scholar Fund for Masters StudentsKing’s College London is inviting applications for law scholarship from Nigerian students undertaking the one year LLM Law programme at King’s for 2015 entry. The winner will be selected on the basis of a personal statement as well as demonstrable financial hardship. The scholarship will be worth £25,000 and will support the winner with the full cost of tuition fees and also provide a living costs allowance whilst studying. University of Nottingham is inviting applications for high achiever foundation prizes available for African students. Up to three prizes of £2,000 towards tuition fees will be awarded for the first year only. Applicants should already hold an offer to start a full-time foundation programme at Nottingham in September 2015. TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme for Sub-Saharan Africans in Germany, 2015German Research Foundation is inviting applications for TWAS-DFG cooperation visits programme available for Sub-Saharan Africans.TWAS will cover visa, health insurance and travel expenses, while DFG will provide subsistence costs for the stay in Germany. The TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme provides postdoctoral researchers from sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, with the opportunity to make a ‘Cooperation Visit’ to an institute in Germany of no more than 3 months.The application deadline is 31 March each year.
POGO-SCOR Visiting Fellowships for Nigerian students
POGO and the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) are jointly offering visiting research fellowships for a maximum of a three-month period. The fellowship program is open to scientists, technicians, graduate students (PhD) and post-doctoral fellows involved in oceanographic work at centres in developing countries  and countries with economies in transition. Wellcome Trust Masters Fellowships for Nigerian StudentsWellcome Trust is offering Masters Fellowships for Nigerian Students in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. A Fellowship normally provides up to 30 months’ support. A period of 12 months should normally be dedicated to undertaking a taught Master’s course at a recognized centre of excellence, combined with up to 18 months to undertake a research project. The application deadline is 2 March 2015.
Early Career Development Fellowship
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and OCLC are offering Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship for Developing Countries Applicants. This fellowship is available for early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals. Applicants must have a qualifying degree in library or information science. Normally a PhD is not considered a qualifying degree, because the Fellowship program is targeted for early career librarians. The application deadline is February 13, 2015.
CIAPS Postgraduate Commonwealth Scholarship 
Applications are invited for CIAPS Postgraduate Commonwealth Scholarship for 2015 entry. There are a total of twenty (20) scholarships available, worth a total of Five Million Naira (N5 000 000). Every successful applicant can receive up to Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000) towards his or her tuition fees at CIAPS for the duration of the recipient’s one-year International Postgraduate Certificate in School Management study. Applications are invited for residential scholarships in London for the September 2014 intake. Students should be from a developing or emerging country and intending to return on completion of their studies. UNESCO/Japan Young Researchers’ Fellowships Programme, 2015
Applications are invited for up to 20 available UNESCO Fellowships to undertake postgraduate research in one of the four areas of development of particular interest to UNESCO. Research must be carried out under the auspices of an academic supervisor in a host institution.The Fellowships financed by Japan and administered by UNESCO will consist of the following: A maximum amount between US$6,000 to US$10,000 will be awarded to selected candidates.The application deadline is 16 January 2015.
2015 Commonwealth Medical Fellowships for Nigerian Students, UK
Commonwealth Medical Fellowships are offered by UK Department for International Development (DFID). Fellowships for Nigerian students are awarded to undertake a program designed to enhance clinical skills. Awards are tenable for between three months and six months; experience suggests that a minimum of 4 months is sensible. Applications are considered according to on the basis of academic merit of the candidate, quality of the application and likely impact of the work on the development of the candidate’s home country. The closing date for application is 3 December 2014.
Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Scholarships
The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is a Recognized Independent Centre of the University of Oxford. It was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. The Centre provides a meeting point for the Western and Islamic worlds of learning. The application deadline is 9 or 23 January 2015, depending on applicants course.
Eye Researcher Travel Fellowships for Nigerian Students, 2015Eye Researcher Travel Fellowships are granted to Nigerian Students. Fellowships are available to pursue a career in teaching and research in any area of eye and vision research, whether basic or clinical research, epidemiology, public health, infectious diseases, genetics or a particular sub specialty. Fellowship covers transportation, lodging and per diem, in addition to registration for the ARVO Annual Meeting and complimentary ARVO membership for one year. Chevening/Cardiff Partnership Award for Nigerian Students in UK, 2015Chevening/Cardiff Partnership Award are awarded to students of Nigeria to pursue masters degree program at Cardiff University. There are ten awards available for candidates for one-year. Students will also receive the same allowance and stipend package as a main Chevening Award. Students must apply before 15 November.2014.
ACLS Humanities Fellowship Program for Nigerian Students, 2014-2015Applications are offered by American Council of Learned Societies for doctoral and postdoctoral level of study. Fellowship for Nigerian students for awarded in humanities. The total number of dissertation-completion and early career postdoctoral fellowships ranges from 35 to 50. Stipends are $10,000 for dissertation-completion fellows and $17,000 for postdoctoral Fellows, plus an additional $1,000 per. The deadline for application is 1 November 2014.
Presidential Special Nigeria Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development (PRESSID), 2015The Federal Government of Nigeria has invited applications for Presidential Special Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development (PRESSID) for the third edition (2015/2016 academic session). Scholarships for Nigerian students are available to pursue postgraduate studies at the top 25 universities in the world. To be eligible, candidate must be graduates from the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic sessions, who would have completed their National Youth Service by October 2014 and have obtained First Class Honours degree from any recognized and approved University. Students should apply before 18th October 2014.
Africa Regional Bursary for Master Students 
Cambridge Judge Business School offers Bursary for African students to pursue MBA programme. A bursary worth up to £18,000 will be awarded to a successful African candidate. To be eligible for this bursary, applicants meet the usual requirements for the Cambridge MBA. Candidates should apply for admission to the Cambridge MBA in the normal way for applying this bursary.

Africa London Nagasaki (ALN) MSc Scholarship for African Scientists
Applications are invited for Africa London Nagasaki Scholarships available for African scientists to undertake a Master’s degree related to the control of infectious diseases in Africa. Scholarships will award to study either the Institute of Tropical Medicine or at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Up to four scientists will receive up to a maximum award of US $50,000 each to cover tuition fees, travel and living expenses. The application deadline is 12 September 2014.
Japanese Government (MEXT) ScholarshipThe Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) invites applications for college scholarships available for international students to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree. Scholarship awards will be tenable for four years from April, 2015 to March, 2019 including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to be provided upon arrival in Japan.
Sri Lankan Government Presidential ScholarshipsApplications are invited for up to 100 Sri Lankan Government Scholarships available for foreign students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degree commencing in December 2014 in Sri Lanka. Scholarships are open for courses of studies other than Medical & Dental Sciences. INSEAD Sam Akiwumi Endowed Scholarship for Africans
INSEAD staff and former colleagues is inviting application for Scholarship for Africans for studying MBA course at Insead-Campuses. Candidates admitted to the MBA programme from Africa qualify. Preference will be given to Ghanaians and to candidates who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship has a value of up to €10,000. Applications will open on 1 June 2015 and close 16 June 2015.

The call provides funding opportunities for both junior and senior postdoctoral scholars. The application deadline is June 27, 2014.
Henley Ambassador Postgraduate AwardsUniversity of Reading offers Henley ambassador postgraduate awards in the field of business. Students must be holding an offer for a full time postgraduate programme at Henley Business School for entry in 2014/15. University of Reading provides total of £180,000 and successful students will receive up to £5,000 off their degree tuition fees. The deadlines for applications are March 21st 2014 and July 4th 2014.

Leventis Fellowship for Nigerian ApplicantsLeventis Foundation is funding fellowship for younger scholars to develop their research interests in the field of libraries and archives and to participate in the intellectual life of the Center. Nigerian academics are eligible for this research fellowship. Duration of fellowship is of three months. The scheme might be particularly appropriate for scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form. The deadline for applications is 31st May 2014.

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) offers fellowship programme for developing countries in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at premier research institutions in India. Applicants possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, candidates below 45 years of age may apply. The application deadline is 31st October every year.
TechWomen Professional Mentorship and Exchange ProgramApplications are invited for five-week TechWomen professional mentorship program in USA. This program supports emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa and the Middle East. The 2014 TechWomen program will occur over five weeks from early October through early November 2014. Applications for this program should be submitted online by February 10, 2014.
IDB-Oxford Clarendon Scholarships for Nigerian students
Islamic Development Bank and the University of Oxford fund the combined IDB-Oxford Clarendon Scholarships for Nigerian students in the field of MPLS, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences at University of Oxford, UK. The application deadline is 10 January 2014 for Medical Sciences, Philosophy, Politics & International Relations and Computer Science; 24 January 2014 for all other subjects.
South-South PhD Sandwich Scholarships for Nigerian StudentsThe Food Security Center (FSC) is offering up to four visiting Sandwich scholarships for PhD students to pursue research at a partner institute, research center or development organization located in a developing country. The monthly grant is 500 Euros. In addition, FSC pays for traveling to/from the partner institute. Health insurance and other costs must be paid for from the stipend. The deadline of application is January 19, 2014.
Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowships for WomenInternational Peace Research Association Foundation offers graduate fellowships for women in USA. Fellowships are provided in the field of in Peace and Development Studies. The Dorothy Senesh Fellowship is available to women from developing countries those who have completed a Bachelor’s degree, who has been accepted into a graduate program and whose graduate work is to be focused on issues related to the goals of IPRA. Every other year (beginning in 1990) one woman receives school expenses in the amount of $5,000 per year for two years. The application deadline is January 15, 2014.
