Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid make 5yr old Orphan's dreams come true

Cristiano Ronaldo alongside some of his teammates at Real Madrid made the dream of a 5 year old orphan from Palestine come true. The parents and brother of 5 year old Ahmed Dawabshah were killed in a Palestine bomb attack 8 months ago.

Photos of Ahmed wearing a Real Madrid jersey carrying Ronaldo's picture while recuperating from 60 percent burns on his body flooded the internet.

Ahmed fought for his life straight after the incident, and asked 'where is my mother?' upon awakening. The whole incident touched officials at Real Madrid who together with Cristiano Ronaldo and the Palestine embassy organised a trip for Ahmed to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to meet and spend time with his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Association, added:

"This is a superb humanitarian gesture by Real Madrid, its administration and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are restoring hope for a child who lost his entire family. There is an unknown soldier in this initiative and that is Zinedine Zidane, who we warmly thank."

Ahmed's grandfather said: "He has just spent eight months in hospital. He is doing better, but a lot of time and care is still needed for him to truly recover." Nasser Dawabsha, the boy’s uncle, said Ahmed 'adores' Cristiano Ronaldo and had spent much of his time in hospital watching sports.

UEFA club coefficient rankings: Real Madrid on top, Manchester United way behind in 20th position

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the three most consistent sides in Europe
UEFA has released the latest European Club coefficient rankings ahead of the 2015/16 European season. Real Madrid continue to stay at the top of the rankings while Barcelona and Bayern Munich have switched positions, the German club leapfrogging the Spaniards into 2nd position.
The UEFA club coefficient rankings takes into account the results of clubs who have competed in the last five seasons of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, with the current rankings being calculated from the 2011-12 season to the upcoming season.
The European football governing body had already published the club coefficient rankings at the end of the 2014-15 season where Real Madrid were on top, followed by Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. But those rankings included the 2010-11 season, and with the current five-season cycle starting from the 2011-12, there have been a few changes in the list since the last release.
2013-14 Champions League winners Real Madrid continue to hold the highest UEFA club coefficient ranking courtesy their consistent performances in club competitions over the past five years. Current Champions League holders Barcelona drop one spot down into third with Bayern Munich taking their second place this year while Chelsea and Atletico Madrid round out the top 5.
Benfica are in 6th place once again due to their performances in the Europa League followed by Arsenal, who moved up two spots to 7th, joining Chelsea as the only two English teams in the top 10.
Champions League runners-up Juventus broke into the top 10 after a wonderful year in Europe and the Italian Champions were joined by French Champions PSG and 2012-13 Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, who both feature in the top 10 of the list after missing out on it the last time out.
Manchester United have the biggest drop in places since the new list came out, falling 10 places to occupy the 20th spot, with their coefficient ranking being affected by the club’s failure to qualify for any European competition in the 2014-15 season.
Neighbours Manchester City have climbed one spot to 16th place and are closely followed by Swiss League winners Basel in 17th place. 18th placed Sevilla are the new entrants in this list and are in the top 20 for the first time since winning two consecutive Europa League trophies in the past two seasons.
Spain has the most number of teams in the top 20 with five sides representing the La Liga, followed by England and Germany who have four teams each. Juventus and Napoli are the only two Italian teams in the top 20 while the sole Ligue 1 representatives are Paris Saint-Germain.

FIFA Bans Blatter, Platini

FIFA President Joseph Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini have been provisionally banned from all football activities for 90 days by the organisation’s Ethics Committee.

In further sanctions, FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, had been suspended for 90 days, while South Korean former FIFA Vice-President, Chung Mong Joon, had also been banned for six years by the Committee’s adjudicatory chamber.

A statement said the duration of the bans may be extended for an additional period not exceeding 45 days, which would cover the FIFA extraordinary congress to elect a successor to Blatter in Zurich on Feb. 26.

Report says Platini and Chung are two of the three candidates so far standing for election, while the other is Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan.

The Ethics Committee said the bans were with immediate effect “and cover all football activities on a national and international level.

Vincent Enyeama's Wife Speaks Up On His Retirement From Super Eagles

Vincent Enyeama's wife Promise took to instagram to speak on her man quitting the national team.

"Yes! You did well! Hold your head up high my love! I'm so proud of you and your dedicated service to your fatherland for 13 good years. I have witnessed your passion and commitment firsthand.

You spent sleepless nights just to analyze every goal you conceded, even if there was nothing you could do to save them. You played through injuries, pains and fatigue. You took the bullets of unjust criticisms, biased and false reporting/information, just to let peace reign.

You missed important family moments to honor national call-ups. Thank God for the opportunity/privilege to serve the nation. Thank God for the strength/skill to carry out your duties. Thank God for all the memories (good and bad). You leave as a hero. You bow out as a legend. Our children, grandchildren and future generations will hear and speak of your great deeds. God bless you my husband. God bless Nigeria."

Double celebration for Musa as wife gives birth

Nigerian Ahmed Musa scored twice this week to keep CSKA Moscow in contention for a UEFA Champions League group slot just hours after his wife gave birth.
Musa, who came off the bench to help Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final against Burkina Faso in Soweto, joined CSKA three years ago from Dutch club Venlo.
Gambian Ousman Jallow and Ghanaian Gideon Baah were other African scorers in third round qualifiers, but they could not prevent Finnish side HJK Helsinki being eliminated.
AHMED MUSA (CSKA Moscow)
The tiny winger will never forget August 5, 2015 as he bagged a brace for his club in a 3-2 away triumph over Sparta Prague and his wife Jemila delivered a baby girl in Moscow.
Sparta scored twice within 16 minutes of the second leg kicking off to build a two-goal aggregate advantage only for Musa to strike either side of half-time in a stirring comeback by the Russian club.
OUSMAN JALLOW, GIDEON BAAH (HJK Helsinki)
Goals from Gambian striker Jallow and Ghanaian defender Baah gave the visiting club a two-goal lead at Kazakhstan outfit Astana in faraway central Asia.
But a dramatic comeback from the hosts was climaxed by a stoppage-time goal that won the match and the tie 4-3 after a goalless first leg.
