The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday said, the party had accepted Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President. The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun stated this while speaking with State House correspondents shortly after joining members of the transition committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to present their report to the President at the Defence House, Abuja. He stated that the party is ready to live with the reality that Saraki's colleagues had elected him.
The APC had since the emergence of Saraki and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively insisted that both of them and their supporters would be sanctioned. Odigie-Oyegun while reacting on the crisis that broke out in the party after the elections in the National Assembly said, the APC had faced greater challenges before and it would come out stronger in this latest one.
